The new Celerons were introduced late in the quarter and their sales were somewhat less than INTEL expected. However, sales of P-II processors was robust and INTEL exited the quarter with a backlog.
Also, during the quarter INTEL converted some of its Celerons fabs to produce P-IIs. So this quarter the P-II's and XEON processor exceeded expectations while the Celeron processors came short of expectations.

DELL is mainly a P-II hose so it follows loosely that DELL did better than expected.
