funny thing to me is bet your bottom dollar they (amtd senior employees) are reading this thread. would bet they are actually concerned re threat of class action suit...or at the very least article in wsj wsj could easily do survey of several disct online brokers --would make great article..."Thinking of trading on-line...here's what we found"

i would ball park my losses at $3000 in last 2 weeks since could not get thru on phone without 10-plus minute hold time. i am busy young executive(quasi at best) they picture in their brochure...the type of "serious investor" they describe. in my position i can't sit at desk and bide time for 20 - 30 minutes a day. Serious investors cannot trade with them. Do you think it makes sense for a person who buys and holds 2 or 3 stocks to set up acct with them?--no. & from amtd's standpoint, those type investors cost them $s. They thrive on "serious" active traders they advertise to. THEY KNOW THEY ARE NOT DELIVERING ON THEIR PROMISES. who knows wsj web address--at least they could read this thread

if other (nonnet) companies don't deliver like this the #$#$ hits the fan. why is this company an exception. guessing they have serious unanticipated system constraints.
