>DLJ & CSFB upgraded AAPL because they were accumulating the stock like mad in December, and had finally decided to start selling some of those shares. Visit the links section of this club to check out the data. The surge in December volume for DLJ & CSFB is remarkable.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer downgraded AAPL because they had become dangerously short due to the buying of the other two Market makers. Salomon was finally done distributing their holdings to customers after they issued thei old buy recommendation. They'd probably even gone short as a result of the recent surge in new AAPL shareholders.<
