Penni, what you witnessed over there is exactly why problems in our society go unresolved. People take opposing viewpoints and they stake thier ego, reputation, thier very selves on that viewpoint. Our society is losing the ability to calmly and rationally debate various issues without resorting to personal attacks on the character of the individuals. Why do you think that is? One thing that I have noticed on SI, on various threads, is thier are a lot of very bright people with very high Ego's. They hate to be challenged or disagreed with about nearly everything. For a country which was founded on debate, I think this is kinda sad. Regards, Michael
