I am sorry, Patrick--BTW, do you prefer Patrick or Pat or something else?--LLAL means Laughing Like a Lunatic!

I had to grope behind the scenes for so long, asking what do these acronyms mean and some of the faces were a mystery; a friend here on SI took pity and sent me a wonderful guide to all the acronyms and Smileys. So, I have been like a kid in a candy store. Some of this stuff is great. I'll look for it in the history and forward to you; it's relatively recent so it shouldn't have been blown off yet.

As to Shakespeare and relative blindness: It was sand blind versus stone blind. Mostly blind versus totally blind. I think it's Henry IV. The only reason it stuck with me is it was such a wonderful descriptor of being miserably near-sighted and astigmatic. Coke bottles for glasses. "What chart? What wall?"

Why on earth should you hate yourself in the morning? Your questions were quite reasonable. It was I who failed to provide the information necessary to make what I was posting clear.
