<< TXN suit will destroy the AWRE unknown business model, licenses for nothing and the Pr for free... >>

You remembered my tune from the Amati thread in years past. ;-)) I like the lyrics. ;-) I also agree with you about TXN killing little ol' high flying AWRE some day. I base this mostly on Pat Mudge's old posts in the Amati thread referring to how Amati thought Aware was infringing on their patents. I may be wrong, but I really liked listening to Pat and she is a very smart woman and had great sources.

Doc,
Always like reading your posts. Trey is also great to listen to. Been frustrating in this one. Like you, I got out. Had some shares ~11 and then a little more at just under 4 from early September, but chose to bail from the last of my Wstl at 7 in early November on a pop. I wish those luck who hang on, bc i do think it could get interesting here. They could go on a mad run. I couldn't do with the uncertainties anymore. I have my money tied up elsewhere right now, so I'll just watch from the sidelines. I also want to short AWRE but I also wanted to short eBay a long time ago (thank god i didn't ;-).

Seems strange to remember a few years ago that the ADSL biggies were 'surely' going to be Westell and Amati. Now it seems like Amati disappeared into TXN for a high value (not complaining ;-) and we still haven't seen the high volume chips. And Westell has been in marketing 'hell' limbo with shareholders scrambling hard to find out if they will continue to hold their crown jewels (BA). I shouldn't be talking them down though, because as most people know, a company nowadays doesn't need to show a profit to have a market cap in the Billions. ;-) I don't know what they teach at MBA schools anymore, because it seems like the stock market now just throws the old books out the window.

dr., you keep up the good work.

adsl is finally here, and westell is one of the only pure plays. i wish good luck to all those long.

all imho
