Linux jumpstarts Corel
...The main challenge for Corel is to come up with a marketing strategy that takes advantage of the emerging Linux market but doesn't cast the company in a David and Goliath role.

Lundquist said Corel should have learned from its forays into WordPerfect and Borland not to go head to head with Microsoft.

"Corel is just not big enough to do that. It's just going to get squashed. People are waiting for them to be successful at a product. They've got to hit a home run pretty soon," he said.
