I question whether Brazil actually has an austerity plan that is acceptable. To date, they have been zig-zagging around trying to shore up an inflated currency. They do not have the capability to do so for much longer.

Banks with extensive exposure to Brazil shall be hurt and the market recognizes this. I wonder if the penny market will also recognize this? <s>

The government's austerity plans might have a chance of successfully bringing Brazil back to the forefront as one of the
world's leading economies.
