BAM ...worth a re-post! with emphasis

"MarketWatch isn't really written or produced for you. You probably visit a dozen different sites to get what you need. So do I. You probably trade options and you may even have Level II quotes. That's not the typical MKTW visitor profile. One thing MKTW *can* do for you is tell you what's gonna be important to most people, and that's useful to gauge sentiment and momentum. It's almost all the average investor needs, and that's why it's successful.

You won't find sophisticated tools or facilities at MarketWatch. You won't see much TA or research stuff. You can probably do without the editorials. You may own no mutual funds. What's there truly is what mainstream investors need--the news that matters, written in plain English--and that's why it's a great product."

Peter Lynch always states that if you can't explain why you bought a stock to your seven or eight year old, you shouldn't have bought that stock. Peter's had a good pick or two..So has my bud Jeb...both speak in plain English and kick the tires...so to speak....Seems like so many TA guys get pre-occupied with numbers and forget that there is actually a company with management, and a business plan associated with a certificate
