Services Agreement With the Auxer Group
One of the First Automotive Product Companies to Offer Products Via
eCommerce
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1999--SUNCOM
Telecommunications Inc. (OTC BB: SNLMF), Friday announced that
VirtualSellers.com has entered into an agreement with The Auxer Group
Inc. (OTC BB:AXGI - news; OTC BB: AXGI) to handle all aspects of
eCommerce Web site design; including secure order taking, transaction
processing, back-office administration and marketing of the company's
Web site. It is anticipated that site design will be completed and order
taking capabilities implemented within a few weeks.
This week, The Auxer Group unveiled an application of a new technology
to offer its proprietary line of automotive, marine and aviation
accessories direct to the consumer via the Internet. Their eCommerce
strategy will employ state-of-the-art streaming video and audio and will
allow the consumer to interact with the site to gain further insights
into the features and benefits of the products.
These ''Interactive Infomercials'' dubbed ''I-MERCIALS'' will allow
customers to see actual demonstrations of Auxer's products in real life
settings and to interact with the product within those settings.
Consumers will be able to order the product to be shipped direct to
their home for next day delivery by clicking on the ''Order Now''
window.
Prior to this Internet initiative, the Auxer group products were sold
through such retail channels as: Pep Boys-Manny, Mo and Jack Inc. (NYSE:
PBY - news); Carquest; Parts America (Western Auto); Walmart (NYSE: WMT
- news); Kmart (NYSE: KM - news); and West Marine (Nasdaq: WMAR - news
).
The eCommerce strategy, in conjunction with VirtualSellers.com will
allow The Auxer Group to sell direct to the consumer on a global basis.
The Auxer Group's most well known products include: FORMULA 2000
ULTIMATE (A high-performance engine treatment) and Garry's Royal Satin
and Polishes (a 70 year-old superior car and marine-care line).
