If you followed Novell for awhile

You would be amazed that any analysts bothered for what seemed like forever. Novell didn't even have a Kurlak. It was ignored. It got the brush off from analysts. No one wanted to "make their name" on predicting Novell earnings. One analyst who tried for two quarters kept predicting outstanding earnings and fell so flat that it was an embarrassment. Nobody likes to be embarrassed in the limelight.

My point with Dube was that this is the time for an analyst to emerge from the pack with stellar predictions. In the past there wasn't anything the analysts knew from their contacts with Novell that we didn't know better right here. Now admittedly this thread has deteriorated. But up until now analysts were useless with Novell. They didn't have any inside information of any value.

What is different now is that everything rides on one figure --- Netware sales. For that a well connected analyst can be useful.
