As we all know the initial Celeron offering was a dog. iNTEL then came out with a relatively expensive to produce cached version of this inferior chip. I suspect it can easily be shown that based on actual cost of production (silicon real estate occupied) and amortization of actual development costs that this chip is a money loser for iNTEl and serves only to undermine its competition in the marketplace. Also, it may be shown that its performance is so closely related to its pII performance rating equivalents that their pricing practice amount to being predatory against offerings from its competition. If this argument appears to have merit, would someone please approach management at AMD with reference to an appropriate lawsuit and an approach to the Justice Department on this issue?
