Did you ever witness Diana or M.T. at the line? My bet is Diana could hit ten out of ten if there was a designer gown in it for her.
FWIW, I think you might have an opinion of U.U. that is not quite in line with my experiences(not that it matters, really). At our church, we have some agnostics and aetheists as members, as well as people with backgrounds in Judeo-Christian thought, Buhddist, Moslem, and Hindu.
It is a very diverse group, and not everyone there would agree with your opinion of the prevailing belief(again, not that it matters).
As for the desire to chant names, that is best left to the individual chanter, as long as they respect the rights of those who wish to remain in a chant free zone.
