Michael, similarly I question wether trading stocks such as ETPI makes sense. Here's why. At one point ETPI was up .12 or aprox. 25%. The spread however was .07. If you can buy at the ask and sell at the bid its a money maker. I have rarely been able to do that. Typically, you can buy at the bid if the stock is falling and sell at the ask if it is rising, but timing is absolutely critical. Consequently, you usually lose most of your profit to spreads and commissions.
