More like Jim Senile. Just an old, not very effective coot in a very safe district. Had you heard of him before this episode? You'll be happy to know that my new congressperson is the first openly gay woman elected to Congress, replacing a blow-dry Republican who retired after 6 years. She'll no doubt conspire with your favorite commie Barney Frank in years to come. Scott Klug, the retiree, was ok if not brilliant, he was tasked by Newt to go after pork in the budget and came up with such proposals as making the Pacific NW pay marked rates for power from federal hydro facilities. You can imagine how far that one went given the "integrity" of Slade Gorton.
