You need to consider his occupation as president. For example, I recently heard Moynihan talking about this public/private chasm. His analogy was if a pres was secretly a member of the KKK in his private life, but proposed legislation on civil rights in his public duties, would it matter?

Hearing your answer, I suppose GW Bush, were he president some day, could molest his female staff and lie about it under oath when one of them sues him. Go GW!
