Marketwatch.com IPO seen opening late morning

NEW YORK, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Shares of online business news provider Marketwatch.com
(Nasdaq:MKTW - news), the first hot initial public offering of 1999, are expected to open for
trading between 1100 and 1200 EST (1600-1700 GMT), sources close to the deal said.

The San Francisco-based company sold 2.75 million shares in its IPO at $17 each. Lead
underwriter BT Alex. Brown priced the deal after the stock market closed on Thursday.

Demand for the shares was so strong that the expected price range for the stock was boosted twice. Originally, the company had
planned to sell shares at between $10 and $12.

Marketwatch.com is a joint venture between CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS - news) and Data Broadcasting Corp. (Nasdaq:DBCC -
news).
