It really is an awful service!! There are times during the day when I can't even log on. And when I do log on and check a stock quote it prompts me to re-enter my logon and password - even though I've only been on for seconds!! And when you try to log on again it says I'm trying to log on after hitting the Back key and I have to clear out the Cache. Any emails to their Helpdesk result in a canned response that's totally useless. How anybody could use ETrade for serious trading is beyond me. It's absolutely useless!!
