Judge: Microsoft should do right by temps AP - Posted at 8:14 a.m. PST Friday, January 15, 1999 SEATTLE (AP) -- A federal judge rebuked Microsoft over ''arrogant'' new contracts for temporary workers requiring them to waive their right to additional pay or benefits that a court might grant in the future. U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour dismissed Microsoft lawyers' defense that it covers only future work for the company. A lawsuit is pending, and Coughenour said damages typically continue to accrue right up to trial.
