Briefing.com: AOL and Hughes Joint Venture To Compete With ATHM From Briefing.com 15:13 ET Market Rumors: Wall Street analysts and traders actively discussing possibility of America Online (AOL 147 1/4 +2 3/4)/Hughes Electronics (GMH 47 1/4 +3 3/8) joint venture. According to sources, the two companies would potentially develop a competing service to AtHome (ATHM 103 7/16 +13/16). Rumors bolstered by announcement this morning by AOL of deal with Bell Atlantic to provide high- speed Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) access to AOL, for an additional $20 per month.
