That's very interesting, especially in light of the fact that telepathic ability in humans is generally regarded as fantasy.

I would posit that the human mind capable of programming one of its own inventions (the computer--a still crude analog of the mind) to perform such a task is materially manifesting its own inherent capability.

I believe people have been reading minds long before the computer was even imagined, yet now that a scientific box can do it, such a feat is now (or will soon be) deemed credible. Does it strike anyone that we're heading toward a place in our techno idolatry where we consider the invention cooler than its inventor?

I'm already beginning to conjure contradictions to my thesis, but I'm still struck by a sense of irony.
