Brian and Albert - I didn't set the terms of the
probability calculation - Albert did. I just
performed the calculation of probability of outcomes
and expected value of the process. To Brian -
of course the probabilities were "wrong". To Albert
you may be expert at anticipating the expected
value of investment opportunities but your choice
of an example did not illustrate your point.

I make my daytime living in part by knowing a fair
amount about probability and statistics. I will
acknowledge the points that each of you made in your
posts, but Albert posited the numbers and conditions.

As I have said before on this thread, "if the market
were mathematical, all mathematicians would be
millionaires".

Good investing,
Burt
