On Thurs. May 2 there was a special conference on ADSL technology hosted by AOL. The invited guest was Rupert Bains the marketing ma nager for broadband telecommunications @ Analog Devices. He answered Q from all comers for 2 hr. It was an excellent presentation. I have posted a report on the ADI thread which you should check out if interested. To get your attention just a few sample Q and A Q ADSL=AMTX A. No way Q On GTE trials how do you explain the addition of the AMTX overture4 to the trial offer? A. GTE didn't play favorites, so they invited other vendors. No suprise. No worries. But an overture 4!!!! What happened to the 8? Why test a nonstandard compliant part? It is their stand. isn't it? So they invent the standard, but don't have a part that meets it? Q. What are the adavantages of DMT over CAP? A. Read the thread on the ADI.
