you only own marketwatch directly if you bought it either in the IPO or in the aftermarket after it starts trading

except,

since DBCC retained a % interest in the remaning shares, if you own DBCC you in a backward way own the same % of the spinnoff
example, if after the IPO DBCC still owns 37% of the outstanding shares of marketwatch, then the value of each share of DBCC has included in it 37% of a MKTW share
