Immune Network Research Ltd. IMMShares issued 199704521997-01-28 close $0.15Wednesday Jan 29 1997News ReleaseMr Victor Jones reports In recent developments, further studies on the CTB-1 monoclonal antibody, a potential HIV therapy, are now scheduled. The first phase of studies demonstrated the safety of CTB-1 and produced potentially important changes in the treated monkeys' immune systems. The next phase of research will evaluate the effects of CTB-1 treatment on virus load and T lymphocyte counts in two monkeys who have already developed signs of AIDS. The company intends to continue these studies with collaborating scientists at the New England Primate Center and Harvard University. The board of directors has accepted the resignation of Dr George Spitalny as president and director and expects to appoint a new CEO for the company in the near future. Research is continuing with regards to production of new monoclonal antibodies for marketing through the company's distribution agreement with Serotec Inc. Additional biotechnology research and patents are under review with the goal of acquisition of technology with near-term commercial potential.
