You are correct. In *most* cases you will see cable modems with internal analog modems. You download at 200-5000kps and upload at 33.6kps. This is the way the cable companies (and their provider) like it, since it puts less strain on their servers.

Most people would get by fine with this since most often you're d/ling and not u/ling. Others need to be able to upload at high speeds...

In case no one's noticed, I *liiiike* high speed internet access. *G*

You would think I actually had fast access. Alas, I'm stuck with X2. :(
