R; on INDI; they blew it BIG time today; where was Yahoo announcement when Market Watch took off to the moon ?

A beta version of Yahoo Finance is floating around SI which includes the INDI thread; but, there's no proof that this version is for real....how would someone obtain it anyway ?

Their web-site is terrific and the service is brilliant, but they're losing a ton of money. Today was their big day to shine along with the Market Watch IPO. All eyes were focused on the financial information services industry on the net.

If their PR firm had one lick of sense, they would have realized the importance of coinciding SOME news (even a pre-announcement w/Yahoo)
to boost the stock in sympathy with Market Watch. Instead, they said nothing and lost a golden opportunity.

We thought INDI was smart enough to realize that today was their BIG day for getting national attention. Many INDI investors were buying the stock ONLY as a cheap way to play the Market Watch IPO.

This is why I have gone sour on the stock.

Now, INDI is just another financial news service (with enough cash to survive for 13 months/see latest SEC filing). Even with the Yahoo announcement (next week ?) and the publicity from that possible affiliation, INDI will never be able to ride the wave of momentum like they could have today. The stock WAS grossly undervalued before the Market Watch IPO took off; BUT, this was PURELY a momentum play and now, the opportunity has been lost.

Sorry if my prior enthusiasm misled anyone. I really thought we were taking off today......I HOPE I'M ABSOLUTELY WRONG ABOUT ALL THIS ! Good luck to you...I admire your continued faith......many of you will vehemently disagree with me on this analysis, but there's no need to reply........sw
