Lewis,

They are slowly building up a european sales and support
organization (back in the Borland days, they had local
companies in many european countries but they disappeared
when Borland got into trouble). They now have a European
headquarter in Amsterdam (Holland), but they also have
employed sales representatives in most european countries
(that is something that has happened the last 6 months).

The support organization is based in Amsterdam, but they are
trying to get local representation in each country through
the use of partners (which they give technical training either
in the US or in Amsterdam) -- in Sweden there's a company
called Agenda which seems competent.

There is definitely room for improvement though, as many
buyers of enterprise tools will look to the support
organization to choose vendor -- and there's probably also
revenue to be made if Inprise in time could have a
local consulting and support organization of their own in
most european countries.

Glad you guys liked my post.
