Can someone who is familiar with Access and Filemaker make a recommendation about which one of these databases might be the best choice? I'm a "casual" user, i.e. non-pro, mainly use a database for committee work, clubs, professional organizations and the like. I've used Paradox for DOS for a long time but recently acquired Paradox 8 for Windows and am fedup trying to find any third party user manuals for that product. Apparently it's pretty much been relegated to the software graveyard, at least so far as general use is concerned. I've not used either one of the others...only know that Access is widespread owing to the Gates monopoly and my impression is that Filemaker gets generally positive reviews. (It's a fact that Access can be had for about 50 bucks less than Filemaker too, but I'd use any excuse not to contribute to the government's case (g)...Thanks.
