Lawsuits with co-ordinated national media exposure can be very effective tools for manipulating stock prices. This is the second such suit in 2 weeks. Wildly varying issues, so far the suits are only "reported", no actual court filing.

Think about how cost effective a spurious suit can be. For a couple of thousand bucks, nearly any of the legal whores out there will file any kind of suit you want. If the claims are outlandish enough, it will generally result in a number of reflex sells. This drop in price would be a tailor made opportunity for someone who was in a group of 6,000,000 or so short shares to cover at a much better price than might otherwise be available.

Given the information available on this and other threads, does anyone doubt that there are players of adequate size and exposure who would play these games?
