victor,

Thanks for the insight. I have NO worries about CPQ, either near or long. I have owned this stock, originally since ~1985. I have traded out of my original position(s) since then, as I also did in 1991/1992 after doubling my later investment. Unfortunately, I didn't hold that position through the 3:1 split in '93 or '94 to now (about a $500K mistake), but got back in right after that split and have held since, adding to my position 2 days before the major publicity of the "Asian contagion" became widespread, followed by Channel Stuffing-gate and again, recently. Like many others here I have hung in through the lean times and have (as always) had nothing but a strong long-term outlook for CPQ. I have just recently had the time to become more interested in TA and have begun get involved in short-term trading opportunities.

Almost ditto the above for ORCL. Rode it long and well for a year or two aound '95/'96. Hung in there through subsequent accounting and reporting irregularties, (not to mention Ellison's ineptitude at handling Wall St. through the turmoil) and continue to see considerable long-term opportunities for the company. The Chairman is without doubt eccentric and egotistical, but with a few glitches, he has directed solid long-term shareholder value. I just haven't gotten familiar enough yet with charting to try to "accurately??" predict short-term trends and fluctuations--in any stock, let alone these two.

Sorry for the ramble. Thanks again for your input.
