Concurrent Computer Corporation Signs Campus Televideo as Value Added Reseller for MediaHawk™ Video Servers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, January 15, 1999 -- Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:CCUR) today announced that Campus Televideo (CTV) signed a Value Added Resellers Agreement for the purpose of marketing Concurrent's MediaHawk Video Servers as part of its
Interactive Video-on-Demand (IVOD) audio/visual systems to the educational and intranet video-on-demand marketplaces. Under the agreement, CTV will use its expertise in data/video system integration to market Concurrent's MediaHawk family of scalable multiprocessor video servers.

As the nation's leading provider of satellite and telecommunication services to colleges and universities, CTV added the digital video streaming ability of Concurrent's MediaHawk in order to increase the
over-all capability of its total data/video system.

MediaHawk Video Servers, which incorporate Concurrent's innovative system architecture, provide scalable performance capable of exceeding 1000 MPEG1 and MPEG2 digital video streams on Ethernet™, ATM, and  cable networks simultaneously from the same server. Each stream in the MediaHawk is completely independent and interactive. Users are able to start, pause, replay, and seek forward on each digital video stream independently with prompt and predictable response times. Furthermore, these video streams are delivered with no degradation to performance or video quality regardless of the number of digital video streams concurrently supported. By implementing Concurrent's innovative technology, variable-bit-rate encoded data can be supported to deliver improved and consistent video quality, and reduce content storage requirements and costs by up to 20 percent.

Said Ned Lamont, Founder and President, CTV, "We need to offer platforms that will be usable for many years.  Concurrent's technology provides us with a turnkey solution for connecting residence halls and classrooms to each other and the outside world."

"This agreement with CTV is one of many strategic IVOD partnerships that Concurrent will be developing with high-technology Value-Added-Resellers and systems integrators to help users access, share, and manage video information technologies," said Corky Siegel, Chairman of the Board,
President, and Chief Executive Officer, Concurrent Computer Corporation.

Concurrent Computer Corporation and CTV will host Video Server Solution Shows throughout the United States beginning in Spring 1999.  Designated technology departments at most colleges and universities will receive
pre-registration invitations and reminders in the mail.
