>>I don't remember being able to do GTC on BB's. This might depend on what broker you are using.<< I know of two major brokers (Merrill and Pru) that don't allow GTC on BB's. On the other hand, a discount broker I deal with does allow it. OTOH, I recently tried to buy 5K shares at the ask on a BB stock that rarely trades. The bid was .37 size 5k, ask .50 size 5k. I didn't use all or none. I got a zero fill. Stock never traded that day. Next day I got an almost immediate fill from Prudential. When I reported this to discount broker, they told me to request a different market maker the next time.. They use Herzog, Mayer Sch., and I think a couple of others. I have previously purchased this BB through them. Can anyone shed any light on why this should happen?
