marc: Agree that saying "a correction which could easily get to the
ten percent level...given the huge volatility now present in the stock market, it could easily overshoot that level along the way" is NOT A PREDICTION of a larger than 10% correction.

HOWEVER, it sounds like a warning that IT COULD EXCEED 10% ( a warning we did not get last summer when the market appeared to be bottoming around DOW 8600 and then exogenous events pushed it through that bottom down to old support levels at 7400). Last summer I failed to head the advice to bring asset allocation levels down to sleep levels. This time I did take the advice :-) zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
