My local phone company and cable company have both recently announced they'll be offering Internet access. Between them, the ADSL option looks better to me than the cable option; I'd rather have my own wire to the switch than have to rely on the provider to keep contention down, and the prices aren't that different. Why do you say ADSL is a loosing [sic] proposition?
