I think you're right the safe play is to unload Tuesday right before the bell, because of the likelihood of a good day and a good uptick at the close.

But I think we've just had a mini 'shakeout' and there are a lot of very short term positive momentum factors here. We have Abbey Cohen's positive remarks about SuperTanker America, the relief from Brazil, actual good earnings from Intel, and of course the possible change of spin from the DOJ trial. I can't see Microsoft being overly negative in it's own statements about it's future when everyone else is kicking the sh*t out of them. I think we only saw the tip of the iceberg of the short squeeze on Friday, and Tuesday, if the numbers and the conference call are good, might send them running for the hills.

I don't want to leave the amount of money on the table that will be left by selling on Tuesday if the numbers and the Conf. Call, and the possible split happen. That would be huge. You're right though in that the premiums will erode like pouring drano on a snowball if they dissappoint in any way, so it is very risky. We saw that happen with Dell big time last quarter. Dell came in at the whisper and sold off leaving tens of thousands of options high and dry, and the premiums went down to nothing.

Don't want to play this thing out too long though, I still think this is just an overbought rally. You know just like market bottoms get overdone, so do market tops.
