Long? Yes. Thoughtful? Depends on how you think. Impressive? If you're impressed by that kind of thought. Having had to search for my much-referenced "anonymous" post to Ish, I was able to track down the early Pilch fairly easily. I think these are his 3 posts here:

This one seems pretty reasonable to me, except for the last sentence, which I wouldn't attempt to interpret.

"He will marry a White."

This seems a problem for many Blacks. What of that? My son has no obligation to anyone to provide offspring that conforms to someone's idea of the "proper race". I have raised him with an obligation to further our moral ideals, our moral heritage as defined by our deeply held Christian faith. He understands that he is a vital link in a moral transmission through time that began centuries ago, and though he is not yet married, he already lives with his grandchildren in mind. He likely will meet his wife in college (just as I met mine), and she likely will enjoy the interests he enjoys. He has lived with us all his life, and so perhaps his wife will be White. In this area I have but one desire, and I have expressed this to my son: I will love as my own daughter any woman he chooses for a wife, but I desire she be Christian in word and deed. This is the Pilch way, and my son has always embraced it. So then if someone ever has a problem with his wife, they merely need thank God they are not married to her.

Now we're instantly into hot button territory, and engaged in some pretty serious slur activity.

This is utter filth masquerading as "art", and I do not want to have anything to do with it. How anyone can defend public support of this garbage is beyond reason, but as large numbers of Americans support a lying sexual predator for President, it, on second thought, is understandable.

Yeah, Clinton's a liar, along with Rehquiest, Lott, and Hyde, to name some current primary players. Sexual predator? Quite thoughtful, very impressive, if you're into that kind of stuff.

Now we start getting personal, and it didn't take long at all.

(Borzou Daragahi) >By definition a pluralistic society will have some elements that some other element will consider sleaze.<

Well of course, just as long as "that some other element" are not members of the non-thinking indecent left. When I see the NEA funding works such as "Piss Faggot", or "Kill Homos", then I will entertain the veracity of your statement. Until then, I will dismiss it as more non-thinking liberal nitwittery.

>If you don't like it, may I suggest you consider moving to a nation founded upon pure religious principles such as the Islamic Republic of Iran or North Korea.<

I have a few better suggestions. We could divide the country down the middle. Those of the Left get the left side (pleased o be rid of California!), and those of the Right will possess the right. Or perhaps a better idea would be for the liberals to simply move to France and other morally bankrupt countries. Failing this, we could simply have another Civil War (winner takes all), or decent people could work more diligently within the system to influence our country away from the moral lunacy of the left.

Uh huh. "non-thinking indecent left", "more non-thinking liberal nitwittery." "Or perhaps a better idea would be for the liberals to simply move to France and other morally bankrupt countries", "the moral lunacy of the left." Thoughtful and very impressive. K would no doubt endorse it as an excellent illustration of substantive debate. BD perhaps baited a little here, but escalation is clearly in the cards.
