CMGI vs LCOS? Try CMGI vs GCTY another one of its holding interests.
tscn.com

The comparison is similar as the one showing CMGI vs LCOS. You can even compare any internet stock with others and see the dramatic similarity. Your finding is intersting but it expands the entire industry. Just check it out for your self.

Also look at the similarity of the following graphs at this link below for the one day chart from yesterday.

quote.yahoo.com

Many gapped up similarly and ended down for the day or off their highs for the day.

My feeling is that many of these internet stocks are on various top 10 lists of many MMs who play these stocks everday to give you the overall similarity in trading graph from one stock to the next. Big money is here(nothing new) which sets the trend for any market. They perhaps buy or sell all of them and wait for the cheaper price to pick them up again. the same top ten. Individual investors are in this too but of late the novice trader has lost many dollars not defining wether a mkt or limit or stop loss at a certain price etc. is ordered.
These novices unfortunately do not have the big position to make these issue move in tandem with each other like you see in both links above.

I have noticed this trend not to be just characteristic of this industry but in others as well. Try comparin ORCL and MSFT for yesterday. Try the semiconductors. You will se broad patterns of similarity.

Just a trend I have noticed IMO.

Good luck to all
