I recommend Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques by Steve Nison and Technical Analysis Explained by Martin J. Pring. Bollinger Bands are explained in the second book. There are a lot of indicators for buying and selling. Not something I can explain in general via a message. Sometimes the patterns aren't clear. It is when the patterns are clear and there are multiple indicators telling the same thing that action is appropriate. Some of the people on this thread and others are much better at technical analysis than I.
