Here is my $0.02, I'm a novice however, I have read the earlier posting here and Some what agree. Base on what I recall NVLS normally post the QTR's report either before or @ the begining of the market bell opening. As a invester I have read that during last 1st, 2nd, & 3th Qtr's OF 1998 NVLS had noted as did most semi equipment manufacturer's then that it will be slow, & flat till 2nd - mid year 1999. The industry has somewhat taken care of major blows of this type of stock. Which when earnings of the qtr's has shown to meet or fall below expectations the company stock didn't fall some 15% - 30%. As I recall @ last 3rd Qtr NVLS has surprising performed above expectation by $0.01 (penny) and I think @ 2nd Qtr it has either met analysts expectation. I have gather the day's of each qtrs reaction to news: 1998 Financial Releases 3rd Qtr (10/12/98) OPEN: $24.94 HIGH:$29.93 CLOSE:$29.31 2nd Qtr (7/16/98) OPEN: $37.93 HIGH:$40.31 CLOSE:$37.50 1st Qtr (4/20/98) OPEN: $41.25 HIGH:$46.75 CLOSE:$45.68 1997 Financial Releases 4th Qtr (1/19/98) OPEN: $32.00 HIGH:$34.37 CLOSE:$33.87 (NOTE: Data for 1/19/98 is base on 1/20/98 since 1/19/98 was holiday) 3rd Qtr (10/13/97) OPEN: $131.37 HIGH:$132.75 CLOSE:$128.00 I'm thinking that this 1/20/99 4th Qtr will be similar like 3rd Qtr. 1998 in which NVLS may have exceed by $0.01 - $0.02. After Fridays big high of $75.5 & closing of $ 74.38 the stock has shown to move above $75.25. My estimate call's is by opening bell NVLS might be well above $76+. Base on the data above the gain's seems to fluctuate from OPEN - HIGH from $1.00 to $ 5.00 & Close no more that $3 from OPEN value. I think NVLS will trade as follows: OPEN: $76.31 HIGH: $81.31 CLOSE:$ 74.00 Let's hope I'm off @ the low end such that NVLS may trade above $80+ Good Luck everyone. jd
