I don't know if I understand the question, but they are not reducing the number of shares that they authorized to sell, stays at 40,000,000. They are going to give me/us 1 share for every 8 we now have. The share price will automatically go up 8 times (for a while) but my investment value will not change at all because I now have 1/8 the number of shares. After the split the number of shares they can sell again, if they can find buyers, goes up because they now 8 times more they can sell.
