Hi, I don't have a stake in either of these technologies but Windows magazine (2/99) has an article on High Speed Surfing that essentially states ADSL is faster than cable. They described SDSL and VDSL as even faster than ADSL but unable to handle poor line quality the way ADSL can.

I have no idea whether that is correct. It doesn't really matter. If the lay press spews it out as fact, the masses may well follow.

They seemed to be impressed but slightly less so by cable.
