Dave,
If you go back about three months and read all the posts on this thread you will get caught up to date. But, in a nutshell, and I mean a very condensed nutshell, we have app. 51% of the graphics chip market including contracts with all the top PC manufacturers. We are expanding into the audio chip business and elsewhere. (Read copy of S3's recent earnings announcement and press release) We have worked closely with Intel and apparently still are and they are one of our biggest customers. However, Intel is looking to produce their own graphics chip. If they do successfully do this there is uncertainty in the market as to how that will impact S3. Some say minimally, others say it will drive us out of business. The die hard S3ers believe management realizes this threat and will counter it with appropriate bussiness actions to keep S3 on a growth track consistent with the past, including the implementation of their new products. The naysayer will say that intel will crush S3 and S3 will be a limping dog in a year's time. nfortunately for us all, the stock price is stuck where it is right now until the Intel "threat" can be further assessed or until S3 announces something regarding design wins or regarding the acceptance level of their new audio chips. I hope this helps but I tried to sum up everything in a nutshell.
