I think the Barrick offer says: "it is worth at least this.. now let's get it before the price goes up." The killer is that few companies will touch it with the Barrick participatory overhang. It could go as a Newmont buyout though. With perhaps 15 to 20 million ounce developing, of maybe less than 100 dollar an ounce mining, Newmont would rather have it than not. I see where Denis Prince of Falconbridge died at only 52. Last time I saw him he was healthy as a hog. Shame. Canada is losing its mine finders and developers and not replacing them. It is our lifeblood as we are one of the world's biggest mining and resource exporters. EC<:-}
