What I should have made more clear is that we were on each other's radar but couldn't seem to get past the initial moves. He told me later that the lipstick did say what it was supposed to, even before I suggested we dance. It said, "I know you want me, but you don't seem to have figured out that it is mutual. Hello?"

It worked.
