HUGE Insider Selling!!-Helps Shorts Next Week-Are the Insiders Stupid??? About 1,000,000 shares sold during December at an average price of $11.47 and now about 1,735,000 filed this week on a 144 by the Chairman, President, 5 Directors...Hmmmmm. I know all the excuses...have to pay the college tuition etc. But if they really believed this would be worth $50 soon...I would just bet they could wait!! I can tell you from experience that insider activity is a very good indicator. As a rule, insiders just plain don't sell on the cheap (or buy at the highs). Beginners are often sucked into the excuses of "a need for liquidity" or "he's only selling part of his stock". Believe me, if management is capable of running a public company that is going to grow at the phenomenal rate projected for XYZ then they are certainly know these excuses are total bunk. If they need near-term liquidity, why
sell stock on the cheap when it is much cheaper and more economical to borrow money at the bank window. Companies and management sell equity to raise money when the market is overvaluing their stock and they borrow money (or issue new debt) when the market is undervaluing their stock.
