Pascal,

First, I'm not yet ready to claim success. I like the way some of my nets are behaving right now, but it's going to take a lot longer for me to feel comfortable with really trusting the nets' predictions.

Second, not every stock is suitable for prediction with Neurostock. Some stocks are just easier to predict than others. If I can't get a good net in a reasonable length of time I just move on to some other stock.

After a lot of tinkering, I've settled on some pretty simple settings as the starting point for working on a new stock. Target stock - 20 days short term and related stocks or indices - 3 days short term, that's all. From that point, I'll start adding related stocks or indicators until I'm happy with the net. I don't use volume or raw price, but will sometimes add 3 days long term on the relateds.

Finding good related stocks and indicators is the most important factor in getting a good net, IMO.
