Hi Happy Girl, no, not all men are alike. If you categorize men on the basis of the gifts they give, there are the following types:
1. Cheap bastids, that never give anything. They think of themselves as God's gift to women, I think, so believe we should be grateful that they honor us with their presence.
If you marry one, you are a fool.
2. Very generous guys, that lavish their lady friends with goodies, rings, furs, fancy clothes. I dated a couple of guys like this, they were very insecure, and rather controlling. I think they probably made someone a good husband, but in the end I suspected that they wanted to make sure that I was adorned appropriately to suit them.
3. Medium generous guys, who want to give you goodies, but just to make you happy.
These are the best kind, I think. It is better if they are empathetic, and give you goodies you really want.
4. Fake generous guys, who give you goodies to shut you up. The less said about this kind, the better.
