On the contrary, I think SI is an extremely valuable site for professional investors. Expert information is posted regularly; you just have to know who to listen to. SI can also be a gauge of sentiment. I'm glad to hear that McAfee's network mgmt products are gaining share on Intel's leading LANDesk suite. From the reviews I've read in PCWeek and other trade mags, it looks like McAfee's antivirus division also has very good products for all major platforms - NT, Unix?, Macintosh, and Win95. MCAF's a solid long-term position for me. The Internet really expands distribution of their anti-virus products. However, I've read somewhere that only 1-2% of shareware is paid for.
