No. I'm delighted to make enough to provide for her. Her previous job made it possible that we have a house and two cars. All I need to do now is "sustain", unless the house size issue becomes onerous.
We both came from families where the mother stayed at home. We both have warm fuzzy memories about that, and cannot imagine what it's like for young kids who don't have a home parent. But we heard cautionary tales... Given the choice between single income and full-time daycare - I like our decision.

Of course, a few hundred dollars a month would be nice right now. They would spell the difference between keeping an eagle eye on the budget (currently workable but tight as a drumhead) and the familiar, bygone luxury of not worrying about little luxuries. Maybe when the (projected) younger is in school, Spouse will get a part-time gig for "play money", like for vacations or music/ballet/gym lessons - that kinda stuff.
